About this Event

Time and again, the topic of meditation comes up at HartsSpace as an effective practice to manage stress, anxiety, overall health, relationship with food and body, and more. Both single meditation sessions and regular/ongoing meditation practices increase serotonin, endorphins, catecholamines, and GABA activity in the brain. This seems to have a dose-dependent effect, meaning the more you practice, the more you get out of it. Practicing outside of stressful events or situations primes your brain to use this tool when stressful situations do arise, making stress easier to handle in the moment. Whether you meditate regularly or are new to the practice, join us for a virtual meditation session as we start the day celebrating our community and World Meditation Day together.
