Winter Retreat 2026:
Rooted

HartsSpace Winter 2026 Retreat Flyer (1).png

The holiday season can leave us tangled in to-do lists, expectations, and endless commitments. The HartsSpace Winter Retreat is your chance to set it all down and root into stillness. In the quiet foothills of Mt. Si and Mt. Teneriffe, this weekend invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body, and remember what truly matters.

Through gentle practices for body image healing, the wisdom of nature, and moments of both community and solitude, we will explore what it means to return to the root of ourselves, our stories, and our healing.

This is not about doing more or chasing resolutions. It is about restoration, grounding, and coming home to yourself.

Winter invites us to turn inward.
To slow down. To rest.

Day One: Arrival and Settling In
We’ll ease into retreat life with time to land, get cozy, and connect with the space. After a shared meal, we’ll gather in community to gently open the weekend and set our intentions.

Day Two: Reflection and Rooting
This day invites you to slow down and tune in. You’ll have options for guided movement, breathwork, journaling, or quiet time in nature. The evening will offer space for reflection and connection, held with warmth and care.

Day Three: Integration and Return
We’ll begin with gentle grounding practices and a closing circle to help you carry what you’ve rooted into back home with you. You’ll leave feeling nourished, steady, and supported.

We are a group of women who care deeply about wellness, community, and creating space for real connection. Each of us brings something unique, but we all share the same goal. To help you feel supported, seen, and grounded throughout the retreat.

Michelle is passionate about connecting nutrition, mindset, and expansive living to empower lasting wellness. Her unique approaches in nutrition include using food as medicine while recognizing that a person's thoughts and beliefs have a profound biological impact on someone's physiology. Because of this, she addresses not just what people should eat, but how they should be eating, and uses our relationship with food and body to create empowered patients who can confidently make food choices that make them feel energized, at ease, and fulfilled.

Stefanee is the owner of Sound Strategy Marketing LLC. If you've seen our content online or any of our recent brochures or flyers, she's the one behind the scenes creating it! Stefanee will be joining us at the retreat to gather more content. You may see her around the retreat taking photos or videos (with your consent). Feel free to smile her way! With a background in marketing and mental health, Stefanee makes a great addition to our team, making things work in the background so we can better serve you all weekend. Lindsay believes that our relationship with food, body and movement is our greatest teacher. Her early struggles with accepting her body led her on a life path to explore her passions and purpose. Movement and creative expression have been an essential part of her life for over 30 years as she has explored, taught and performed various styles of dance including salsa, hip-hop, contemporary, Latin fusion, as well as dance fitness styles including: GROOV3 and she recently gained her certification as a Turn Up Dance Instructor. She is currently a wedding choreographer teaching couples how to dance together for their wedding! Teaching dance for the past 17 years is one of the greatest joys of her life. Learning to have a peaceful loving relationship with her body has been a lifelong journey. As we teach what we most need to learn, she has worked on various projects from facilitating workshops and presentations on body image and eating disorder awareness to leading body positive groups on a college campus and advising corporate executives on body positive marketing. She received her Masters degree in Social Science through the University of Colorado Denver where she studied Health at Every Size, the Body Positive Movement and Fat Studies. She is now grateful to be a part of a 12-step spiritual program healing from her own addiction with food and helping others do the same.

Oriana teaches Hatha yoga to support healing mind, body, and spirit. She provides trauma treatment therapy, incorporating yoga and mediation into her work with First Responders. She is the Resilience and Wellness Coordinator for the Thurston County Sheriff's Office, a member of the Region 3 Crisis Negotiation Team, and a therapist in private practice. She began her yoga journey with Joanna Cashman's Wild Grace, earning her RYT200 in 2012 and has since learned and taught with the Yoga Loft, Yoga Behind Bars, and Yoga for First Responders. Additionally, she was a faculty member with the International Trauma Treatment Program for seven years and currently teaches mediation with The Pierce County Center for Dialog & Resolution and South Puget Sound Community College. For joy, Oriana engages in authentic movement as a 5 Rhythms dancer and savors nature through PNW hiking with her husband and Rottweiler, Nyx. Learn more about Oriana by visiting her website www.humanresolve.org.

Katie's training encompasses a mind, body, spirit approach to mental health and nutrition. She believes that the power of nutrition and therapy can heal a person. Her background and passions have driven her to create a clinic where a person may grow using their own intuition and cultivating healing from a place within their own resources. She sees people as their own expert and uses techniques and tools to help people to better understand and create the change they desire. Her unique approaches have helped many create sustainable change.
