Why consistency matters, and how to do it......

What a beautiful weekend.
I spent time gathering with Hartsspace, practicing yoga with Oriana, hiking the beautiful Big Creek, and finishing the weekend with meditation at the Seattle Sangha with a friend. I felt grateful, connected, and fully present.
But I also want to remind you: it’s never all perfect.
Last week was actually a difficult one for me. I woke up most mornings not feeling my best and not quite feeling like myself. This morning, I finally woke up feeling a little more like me, and I was incredibly grateful for that.
It reminded me that we can't always know how we're going to feel when we wake up. Some days we feel strong and energized. Other days we simply don't.
That's where our practices and disciplines become so important.
Continuing to move, nourish ourselves, connect, meditate, rest, and care for ourselves—even when we don't particularly feel like it—creates a foundation we can come back to when life feels harder.
I know some of you have been sick, struggling, or simply not feeling your best lately.
Keep showing up in whatever way you can.
Consistency doesn't have to mean perfection.
My intentions this week
Movement
Monday: Morning boot camp — done!
Tuesday: Trail run
Wednesday: Boot camp, or a good dog walk if that's what the day calls for
Thursday: Longer trail run or hike, hopefully 7–8 miles
Friday: Boot camp + hike with my husband or a bike ride
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Hike with friends — hopefully longer with some bigger elevation gain
Food I'm keeping things simple, seasonal, and cost-conscious this week. I have lots of zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and kale from the garden, so I'll be cooking those with chicken and using staples from the freezer.
Use what I have.
Waste less.
Spend less.
Nourish myself well.
That's my plan for the week, with plenty of room for life to happen.
What's going on with you this week?
What are your intentions for movement, food, rest, or connection?
And is there anything you've learned from a difficult week that might help someone else in our community?
