Welcome to the HartsSpace Health Hub Unplugged

We’re so glad you’re here. For those of you who were part of the old health hub, thanks for working with us during this website transition! If you're new here, WELCOME!!

This space was created as a more intentional alternative to traditional social media. We want this to be a place where we can slow down, connect meaningfully, and make health (in all its realms) a priority.

Inside this group you can expect conversations around:

• Nutrition and metabolic health

 • Eating psychology and our relationship with food

 • Mental health and nervous system regulation

Im Karin, a 60 year old creative crone spirit. Overall, Im working on a more healthy and active last third of my life. One thing Im currently focused on is consistent meal planning habits to keep my snacking at a minimum. Not always successful but more on track than off so that's an improvement.

My week of Movement and Nutrtion♡ accountbaily helps.....post your plans here

🏃‍♂️ The Training Schedule: Taper & Relax

The goal this week is simple: keep the blood flowing, stay loose, and save all that explosive energy for Sunday.

  • Monday: Active Recovery

    • Action: Skip bootcamp (smart move!).

    • Movement: 1.5-hour gentle ride OR a relaxing walk on the Chambers Creek Trail. Keep it strictly low-effort.

  • Tuesday: Serene Spin

Foods are all about the garden harvest right now: summer squash, cukes, snap peas, kale, carrots, beets, broccoli. And our chicken harvest last week has filled the freezer with good protein. Hopefully the hubby will be successful with his fishing to add to the goodness.

Stress is building around the babyshowers and wedding details so trying to stay in the moment while doing tasks and enjoy these big life moments with my son and daughter.

Morning wisdom from HartsSpace

Take the time to sit. Be intentional with your time and your words.

The morning is the perfect time to be quiet,

reflective, and gently awaken your body.

This week reminded me that sometimes the strongest choice is to do a little less. I backed off my training to let my hip and knee heal. I still moved every day and kept my routines, and I think that's one of the biggest keys to long-term success.

Consistency doesn't always mean pushing harder. Sometimes it means resisting the urge to do more and choosing what your body actually needs.

During meditation this morning, I was reminded to cherish these moments—to take 20 minutes to stretch, breathe, move, and be grateful for all the ways my body continues to show up for me.
